Senior Accountant (AP review / Pharma)

Our client is a well-established global life sciences organisation with a strong presence in Singapore, serving as a key research and innovation hub within its international network. The company focuses on developing advanced healthcare solutions through cutting-edge scientific research and technology, supported by a stable and well-funded global parent group.

This is a hands-on accounting role supporting end-to-end finance operations within a research-driven environment. You will be involved in financial reporting, compliance, and system-related processes, while working closely with both internal stakeholders and external parties such as auditors and tax agents. The role also provides exposure to process improvement initiatives and accounting systems administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full and accurate sets of accounts in line with local accounting standards
• Oversee Accounts Payable review work done by Accounts Executive
• Perform month-end closing activities (mainly General Ledger) and ensure timely financial reporting
• Support statutory reporting and tax compliance requirements
• Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Support administration of accounting systems, including user access and system configurations

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• Prior accounting experience, ideally with exposure to Accounts Payable (AP)
• Good understanding of Singapore accounting standards and tax regulations
• Experience with SAP systems (e.g. SAP B1 / S4 HANA) will be advantageous
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
