A leading, heritage wine and spirits distributor is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager - On Trade to drive growth across key onpremise accounts. This is a highimpact role for a commercially minded individual who thrives in relationshipled sales and is passionate about building brands in the hospitality sector.
You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic ontrade customers across fine dining, premium casual, hotels, bars, and independent venues, while acting as a trusted partner to customers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key ontrade accounts, delivering volume, value, and distribution targets
- Build longterm partnerships with decisionmakers including owners, general managers, beverage managers, and sommeliers
- Execute brand, pricing, and promotional strategies in line with overall commercial objectives
- Identify new business opportunities and open new accounts aligned to the portfolio's positioning
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution
- Deliver customer education, tastings, and staff trainings to support brand advocacy
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting
- Stay close to market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in ontrade sales within wine, spirits, or premium beverages
- Proven track record of managing key accounts and delivering sustainable growth
- Strong understanding of the ontrade landscape and routetomarket dynamics
- High level of wine and/or spirits knowledge (WSET or equivalent an advantage)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationshipbuilding skills
- Commercially astute, selfdriven, and comfortable working autonomously
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and CRM discipline
