About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of key client relationships across the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, client leadership, and hands-on execution. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day client operations, coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining quality and consistency of work, and identifying opportunities to deepen and grow client partnerships.
This position suits someone who is commercially minded, highly organized, and confident navigating complex stakeholder environments while remaining close to the work.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Account Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned client accounts across APAC, and at times support global or multi-market engagements.
- Own the overall management of client business, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Lead client communications, presentations, and status updates with clarity and confidence.
- Maintain a strong understanding of each client's business context, priorities, performance metrics, and competitive landscape.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend solutions, improvements, or extensions to existing work.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with clients and partner agencies, removing obstacles that may impact delivery or outcomes.
Internal Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as the internal steward of the client relationship, ensuring alignment across creative, strategy, media, production, analytics, and project management teams.
- Partner with resourcing and project management to staff engagements effectively and leverage team strengths appropriately.
- Provide clear direction, feedback, and support to Account Managers and Account Executives assigned to your accounts.
- Maintain accountability for quality control across all deliverables before they reach the client.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership on priority initiatives, complex accounts, or growth opportunities as needed.
Strategic Thinking & Delivery
- Contribute to the development of integrated marketing strategies across social, digital, creative, and media channels.
- Apply strong working knowledge of digital marketing principles, social platforms, and media ecosystems to guide recommendations and execution.
- Ensure work is audience-informed, platform-appropriate, and aligned with client business objectives.
- Stay informed on relevant industry trends, platform developments, and market shifts to provide informed counsel to clients and teams.
Business Growth & Commercial Acumen
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through incremental projects, retained services, or integrated solutions.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, scopes of work, and client pitches when required.
- Track account financial health, including budgets, forecasts, billing, and scope management.
- Partner with finance and leadership teams to ensure accurate reporting, timely approvals, and sustainable account growth.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with agreed scopes.
- Anticipate risks, resourcing challenges, and budget constraints, and address them proactively.
- Maintain organized account documentation, processes, and reporting standards.
- Ensure all necessary legal, contractual, and approval processes are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- 57+ years of experience in account management within a creative, media, or integrated marketing agency environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex client relationships across multiple stakeholders and markets.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and integrated campaign delivery.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, scopes, timelines, and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with multiple priorities.
