The Senior Account Executive is responsible for managing the company's financial reporting, project costing, and accounting operations to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and regulatory requirements.
This role plays a key role in monitoring project financial performance, cost allocation across construction sites, and supporting management with financial analysis and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and company policies.
- Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Assist finance team members to close monthly and yearly closing
- Project & Cost Accounting (Construction Specific)
- Monitor and track project cost allocation across multiple construction sites.
- Review progress claims, subcontractor claims, and retention sums.
- Ensure accurate cost coding and cost control for project budgets.
- Support project managers in financial tracking of project profitability.
Accounts Payable
- Prepare and update AP invoices posting in system
- Oversee supplier payments, subcontractor claims, and aging reports.
- Monitor client progress billings and collection status.
- Work closely with procurement and project teams on invoice verification.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist management with budget planning and cash flow forecasting.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting for management decision making.
- Track cost overruns and project financial risks.
Compliance & Audit
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with GST regulations and statutory filings.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and audit trail.
System & Process Improvement
- Maintain accounting records in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics / SAP / Oracle).
- Improve internal controls and financial processes.
- Support digitalization and automation of accounting workflows.
Mandatory Requirement (Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge / Skill set / Etc)
Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based industries.
- Strong knowledge of project costing and construction accounting practices.
- Familiar with Singapore GST and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or construction ERP systems.
- Knowledge of job costing and contract accounting.

Working Hours : Monday to Friday 8.30AM to 5.30pm
Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm
Work Location : West Zone
