Security Team Leader (Hilton Singapore Orchard)

Job Description

The Security Team Leader assists the Security Executive in guiding Security Officers on duty, ensuring hotel work procedures and inspection work are carried out correctly. The role covers the daily responsibilities of the Security Executive in his/her absence.

Responsibilities

What will I be doing

As the Security Team Leader, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Security Operations & Incident Management

• Secure the premises by patrolling the property, monitoring CCTV and surveillance equipment, and inspecting buildings, equipment and access points.
• Respond to and manage incidents involving guest, colleague or property safety, ensuring compliance with internal policy and legislation, and escalating to emergency services or management where necessary.
• Carry out regular checks on fire, safety, security and emergency procedures, ensuring the team is fully conversant with evacuation, lockdown and active attack protocols.
  
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise, lead and train Security Officers to ensure daily operations are carried out to standard, deploying resources for optimal performance.
• Conduct regular team briefings and de-briefs, provide coaching and feedback, and support the development of individual and succession plans.
• Prepare duty rotas and schedule annual leave in alignment with business needs, reviewing coverage with the Safety & Security Manager.
  
  

Reporting & Stakeholder Liaison

• Complete accurate reports on observations, incidents and surveillance activities, including witness interviews and evidence collection where necessary.
• Liaise daily with operational departments and represent the Assistant Safety & Security Manager or Security Executive as required, including covering their duties in their absence.
• Carry out other relevant duties as directed, upholding Hilton's reputation, values and standards at all times.

• High School or Secondary Vocational School graduate.
• Holds a valid Security Officer License by Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD)
• Proficient with hotel security, public security, fire control and management.
• Familiar with fire and traffic safety laws and regulations.
• First Aid and Company Emergency Response Certification required.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to organize and direct staff according to job specifications to complete tasks.
• Good knowledge in the use of Ms. Word and Excel.
