Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current data protection architecture and define future-state designs aligned with GDPR, PDPA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Architect high-level and detailed solutions for Microsoft Purview Information Protection across cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring coverage of all functional and compliance requirements.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of sensitivity labels, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, auto-labelling rules, and information rights management (IRM) controls across Microsoft 365 workloads and legacy repositories.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and user acceptance activities, refining configurations based on feedback and real-world use cases.
- Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, operational runbooks, and training materials support knowledge transfer and train-the-trainer initiatives.
- Provide post-deployment support and continuous improvement recommendations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data governance, information security, and compliance, with deep expertise in Microsoft Purview Information Protection.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Azure Information Protection (AIP), DLP, and related controls in complex, multi-entity environments.
- Hands-on experience with data classification, labelling, and lifecycle management in regulated industries.
- Excellent understanding of compliance and regulatory standards such as GDPR, PDPA, MAS, and PCI-DSS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure, PowerShell scripting, and security automation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in agile environments and effectively engage with business, compliance, and technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure security services and cloud security best practices.
- Prior consulting experience with successful client engagements and project delivery
- Good to have certifications in Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate (SC-400), Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), CISSP, CISM etc.
