Job Summary
Join Wondrous Mind as a Science Teacher to inspire and empower students in Secondary 1 to 4 Science and Chemistry. You will deliver curriculum-aligned lessons, monitor student progress, and collaborate with parents to drive student success in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the centre's curriculum for Secondary 1 and 2 Science and Secondary 3 and 4 Pure/Combi Chemistry, adapting to selected subjects and levels based on preference
- Develop detailed lesson plans and contribute to curriculum writing to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes
- Monitor and assess each student's academic performance and progress to tailor instructional approaches and interventions
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide constructive feedback and recommend solutions that support student development
- Review and refine lessons and programmes to continuously improve teaching quality and student engagement
- Perform additional relevant duties to support the centre's educational mission and operational needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher
- Demonstrate passion for teaching and commitment to student success
- Exhibit openness to learning and adaptability in teaching methods
- Show patience and genuine care for children's development
- Maintain a responsible and proactive attitude toward teaching duties
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- No prior teaching experience required eagerness to learn and teach is highly valued
Working Hours:
- Current schedule involves full-time hours structured over 3 weekdays and both weekends (ending by 5 pm) or 5 weekdays and 1 weekend
- Future goal to transition to a 4 weekdays and 1 weekend schedule to enhance work-life balance
