Job Summary
At One World International School (OWIS), we seek passionate educators to teach diverse students using individualized learning approaches within IB PYP, IGCSE, and IB Diploma frameworks, fostering innovation and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Teach students across Secondary, IGCSE, and IB Diploma levels according to school curricular guidelines and individual educational needs
- Design, prepare, and deliver lessons that enhance learner understanding and mastery of knowledge and skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to create differentiated learning plans and assessment opportunities tailored to individual learner needs
- Assess and monitor student progress, set improvement goals, write student reports, and communicate with parents during meetings
- Lead or participate in extra-curricular activities, school events, assemblies, staff training, and meetings
- Promote and uphold the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students
- Foster the attributes and attitudes of the IB Learner Profile and embody school values in teaching and interactions
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher
- Bachelor's degree and a professional teaching qualification (PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma), valid Teacher License, or QTS
- Strong knowledge and experience teaching English for Secondary, IGCSE, or IBDP levels
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working in an international school environment
- Ability to deliver student-centred, inquiry-based learning
