Job description / Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules, and quality.
- Work closely with Warehouse inventory and logistics teams to create efficient workflows.
- Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.
- Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring contract management and the quality of service provided.
- Check invoices against source documents and correct any errors.
- Keep contract files and use them as reference for the future.
- Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
- Develop a purchasing strategy.
- Produce reports and statistics, review performance and identify cost-saving possibilities.
- Reconcile additional costs for inbound raw material logistics.
- Process any supply/logistics provider complaints.
- Control approved vendor list.
- Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives.
- To be involved in bringing a product from concept or idea through market release and beyond
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related subject
- 1 year experience in Supply Chain (Those with no experience but with relevant are welcome to apply)
- Strong customer service orientation, good relationship builder with strong diplomacy skills
- Strong problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills
