The focus of the A.STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential (A.STAR IHDP) is research to improve the health and well-being of Singaporeans across the life course. Led by Professor Jean Yeung, Director (Social Sciences) at IHDP, the Singapore Longitudinal Early Development Study (SG-LEADS) examines factors in multiple contexts that can promote Singaporean childrens childhood development.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable full-time Postdoctoral Fellow for the SG-LEADS project. The candidate should have expertise in family, children and youth development and have a social science background.

Job Responsibilities

  • Your duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Analyze data and interpret results.
  • Draft, submit and revise manuscripts for publication.
  • Perform data checking and cleaning.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences disciplines (e.g. Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Public Health) from a recognized university.
  • Research expertise in topics related to trends and changes in child and youth development is required for the project.
  • Experience with survey operation in longitudinal studies.
  • Advanced quantitative research skills.
  • Experience with STATA, SPSS, or R.
  • Publication record in areas related to the above-specified research areas.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skill and interpersonal skill.
