Support Services Required on Mondays & Wednesdays : 8.00am to 5.00pm (Actual days to be confirmed on a later date)
Flexibility to shift 50% of their scheduled support during school holiday to term time.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Requirement
Trained in social work/youth work
Education or professional qualifications in social work and/or related
Must be employed by an agency that is a registered member of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS)
Make referrals to additional external agencies of community resources where necessary.
At least 2 years of working experience in social service setting.
Key Roles
Student Engagement and Support - To establish ongoing relationships with designated students, delivering sustained mentoring and counselling assistance to both students and their families over an extended period.
Relationship Building and Development - To foster meaningful connections with identified students, cultivating positive relationships that support their comprehensive development and enhance academic outcomes.
Tailored Intervention Planning - To include designing and implementing student-focused interventions, incorporating home visits when required, that are specifically adapted to individual student needs whilst complementing the school's existing support framework.
Assessment and Reporting - To monitor and identify key student needs, documenting significant cases and communicating findings to designated Student Management Personnel and School Leadership for additional intervention and support measures.
Collaborative Case Management - The service to encompass participation in case review and management meetings alongside relevant school staff, providing insights on student requirements, programme effectiveness, and areas of concern to enhance the school's capacity to support students effectively.
Any other duties assigned by School Leaders, HODs or Administrative Manager
