School Science Lab Assistant/Technician (Part-time) | Katong

Job Scope

• Assist in the daily operations of the assigned science laboratories, science gardens, aquaponics, hydroponics and pond.
• Responsible for the setup, clean up and general maintenance of the science laboratories and Science Areas.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the Recycling Corner.
• Assist in preparation of laboratory apparatus, equipment and teaching materials for scheduled laboratory activities.
• Assist in stock taking exercise and maintenance of equipment.
• Typing of worksheets and notes.
• Supporting and assisting in departmental events, activities and programmes.
• Any other duties assigned by the School.

Requirements

• Able to make use of Microsoft word / excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint
• Able to operate electronic devices eg. hydroponics sets, aquaponics and other devices relating to Science
• To be able to do gardening (weeding, planting and watering)
• Preferably with more than 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position and in a school environment

Contract Period: From 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027 (Option to Extend: 1 year from 1 January 2028 to 31 December 2028)

Working Arrangement

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 1:30pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
• Fridays: 7.00am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
