[What the role is]
As an Associate Lecturer with the School of Business, you will facilitate authentic and engaging learning experiences that prepare students for the workplace through learner-centred and industry-relevant education.
[What you will be working on]
- Facilitate engaging and experiential learning using Republic Polytechnic's Problem-Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy and other learner-centred approaches.
- Deliver lessons and facilitate learning in accordance with approved curricula, assessment requirements and academic standards.
- Assess students learning through assignments, projects, presentations and other assessment methods, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with Module Chairs and academic teams to ensure effective curriculum delivery and continuous enhancement of the student learning experience.
- Teach and contribute to one or more of the following areas:
- Financial and Management Accounting
- Audit & Assurance
- Taxation
- Sustainable Finance ESG & Sustainability Reporting
- AI & Digital Technologies in Accounting
- Risk, Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance
- Business Law and Company Law
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA Singapore, ICAEW, CPA Australia or equivalent are preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in accounting, audit, taxation, sustainability reporting, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
- Ability to teach both Pre-Employment Training (PET) students and Continuing Education and Training (CET) adult learners.
- Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in teaching, training or coaching will be an advantage.
