School Nurse

JOB PURPOSE:

• The role holder is responsible for providing medical support to the students and staff in the campus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Examines students and staff who are unwell and require medical attention

. Provides medical support and treats minor injuries and mild illnesses, as per appropriate standards

. Arranges for the transfer of students or staff to the nearest doctor/ hospital/ emergency ward for more serious cases

. Informs the parents and campus administration about the student's condition

. Maintains and replenishes medical supplies, such as the first aid kit, and ensures the supplies meet the local requirements

. Ensure all medical supplies are up-to-date and all medical equipment is in good order

. Maintains students medical history and records of each medical case attended to

. Ensures compliance with local healthcare regulations

. Identifies trends in students and staff wellness (e.g. most common illness contracted, etc.), and presents the findings to the campus administration.
