Nurse - Chaoyang School (Ang Mo Kio)

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nurse to join our school to oversee the well-being of our students by providing direct medical care and promoting a healthy school environment.

You will play a crucial role in providing nursing and health services to students aged between 7 to 16 years old with mild intellectual disabilities/autism spectrum disorder by supporting their physical well-being, medical needs, and school activities in alignment with the school's holistic care approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Health Management

• Maintain student medical records.
• Monitor and manage students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, epilepsy).
• Provide first aid and emergency response during school hours and events.
• Managing consent & scheduling with School Health Promotion Board & Parents/Guardians for Annual Dental Screening & Annual School Health Screening.

Record Keeping & Compliance

• Maintain accurate health records, consent forms, and incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with MOH and MOE SPED health and safety guidelines.

Health Education & Prevention

• Conduct basic health screening and hygiene education.
• Promote awareness on nutrition, safety, and personal care among students.

• Support health-related school campaigns or wellness programs.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with teachers, allied professionals, and parents/guardians on student health care needs & support for student outings.

• Liaise with healthcare providers & School Health Promotion Board where necessary.

Job Requirements:

• A recognised local Diploma (Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board)
• Valid First Aid and CPR + AED certification
• Experience in a school, pediatric, or community care setting

• Knowledge of infection control and health education practices
