Job Description

The SAP Solution Architect provides hands-on technical leadership across solution architecture, application development, analytics, integration, data modelling, and cloud engineering. Working across both established and emerging SAP technologies, the role translates complex business and technical requirements into scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and technology standards.

This position will also play an important role in advancing modern engineering practices, including cloud-based development, intelligent automation, Generative AI, AI-assisted software engineering, and automated development workflows.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the solution architecture, technical design, development, and implementation of complex SAP solutions across SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, analytics, integration, and related technologies
Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions, providing hands-on technical leadership throughout the full solution lifecycle
Design, develop, enhance, and optimize SAP applications, data models, analytics, planning solutions, user interfaces, and integrations using appropriate SAP and enterprise technologies
Drive the modernization and integration of SAP solutions, including connectivity between SAP platforms, Microsoft Azure, cloud services, and other enterprise applications
Lead the development and optimization of enterprise data, reporting, analytics, and planning solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and usability
Apply Generative AI, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted engineering to improve application development, workflows, automation, and engineering productivity
Provide technical guidance and governance through architecture reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, development standards, and technical documentation
Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, developers, infrastructure teams, and technology partners to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements and enterprise technology standards

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related discipline
Extensive in-depth expertise across the SAP landscape, ideally spanning the full technological evolution from SAP BW 7.x through to SAP BW/4HANA
Strong functional and technical understanding of SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA, including the integration and interdependencies of the SD, QM, PUR, and PP modules
Profound expertise in SAP BW 7.x, SAP BW on HANA, and SAP BW/4HANA, covering the entire lifecycle from solution architecture, data extraction, and data modeling through to stable operations and system administration
Advanced command of HANA-native modeling and query technologies, including ABAP CDS Views, SAP HANA Calculation Views, and SQL
Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex planning applications using SAP BW Integrated Planning (BW-IP)
In-depth knowledge of the SAP Business Explorer toolset, including Query Designer, Report Designer, Web Application Designer, and BEx Analyzer
Proven expertise across the modern SAP Analytics portfolio, particularly SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office
Extensive development expertise across both classic and modern SAP UI technologies, including SAP Dynpro, Web Dynpro ABAP/Java, SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal, as well as SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, HTML5, and OData
Proficiency with professional development environments such as SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Web IDE, Eclipse with ABAP Development Tools (ADT), and Visual Studio Code, including Git-based version control
Foundational knowledge of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) as SAP's strategic extension and integration platform
Advanced expertise in the administration, architecture, and development of cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure
Strong, hands-on expertise in Artificial Intelligence, particularly in the productive application and development of AI-powered solutions
Advanced experience with Agentic AI and AI-assisted Engineering, including coding agents, agent harnesses, skills, and tool integration
In-depth expertise in designing and orchestrating intelligent automation using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI workflows, and automated pipelines
Extensive, long-standing software development expertise in ABAP, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and HTM
