Job Description
The SAP PaPM Lead will be responsible for leading the design, delivery, and implementation of SAP Profitability and Performance Management solutions for planning, forecasting, cost allocation, revenue allocation, and what-if simulation processes.
The role requires strong hands-on SAP PaPM experience, good finance process knowledge, and the ability to lead a team of consultants while working closely with Finance, FP&A, IT, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and sustainable PaPM solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The PaPM Lead will be responsible for:
- Leading the end-to-end design, build, testing, and deployment of SAP PaPM solutions.
- Driving solution design for cost allocation, revenue allocation, planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, and what-if simulations.
- Reviewing business requirements and translating them into PaPM functional and technical design.
- Leading PaPM model configuration, data integration, calculation logic, allocation rules, enrichment, validation, and reporting outputs.
- Providing guidance to PaPM consultants on modelling approach, configuration standards, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Integrating PaPM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/BW4HANA, and other relevant data sources.
- Ensuring PaPM outputs are validated, reconciled, and aligned with finance and business expectations.
- Supporting SIT, UAT, end-to-end testing, defect resolution, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Working with Finance, FP&A, IT, and project stakeholders to manage design decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Supporting knowledge transfer and handover to AMS / BAU support teams.
Key Skills Required
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP PaPM modelling and configuration.
- Proven experience leading SAP PaPM implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of cost allocation, revenue allocation, profitability, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Experience with PaPM functions such as Calculation, Allocation, Enrichment, Validation, Joins, Views, and What-If Simulation.
- Strong experience in data integration from SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW/BW4HANA.
- Good finance knowledge, including P&L, cost centers, profit centers, products, customers, and management reporting.
- Ability to review and validate PaPM results and reconcile outputs with source systems.
- Strong performance tuning, troubleshooting, and error handling experience.
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience as a PaPM Lead or senior PaPM consultant in large-scale SAP transformation projects.
- Experience working in finance transformation, integrated planning, or performance management projects.
- Experience with SAP SAC, BPC, BW, or S/4HANA Finance would be an advantage.
- Ability to onboard within short notice and work in a fast-paced project environment.
