Job Description: EPM Subject Matter Expert
SAP BPC / SAP PaPM / SAP BW / SAP Analytics Cloud

Contract Duration: 12 Months
Role Summary
The EPM Subject Matter Expert will support the design, validation and delivery of the Integrated Planning solution across SAP BPC, SAP PaPM, SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
The role will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams and technical teams to support end-to-end planning and forecasting processes, including Mid-Term Planning (MTP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monthly forecasting, driver-based planning, reporting and analytics.
The project scope covers an integrated planning framework connecting operational data, financial forecasting and planning across systems such as IBP, S/4HANA, PaPM, BPC, SAC and Analysis for Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the EPM SME across BPC, PaPM, BW and SAC for integrated planning and forecasting solution delivery.
- Support workshops with business users to clarify current ways of working, pain points, planning requirements and future-state design.
- Provide functional input for the end-to-end planning process covering:
o Mid-Term Planning, MTP
o Annual Operating Plan, AOP
o Monthly Forecast
o Sales and COGS Planning
o A&P Planning
o SG&A Planning
o CAPEX Planning
o P&L Planning
o Balance Sheet Planning
- Support the design of driver-based forecasting models, including revenue, rebates, returns, COGS, logistics, A&P and SG&A drivers.
- Review and validate integration points between IBP, S/4HANA, PaPM, BPC, BW and SAC.
- Support PaPM forecasting logic, including forecast driver derivation, manual input assumptions, data enrichment and forecast output validation.
- Support BPC planning model design, including planning cubes, dimensions, input forms, assumptions, workflows and retraction requirements.
- Support BW-related data flows, mapping, master data alignment, data extraction and reporting layer requirements.
- Support SAC reporting and dashboard requirements for planning, forecasting, review and management reporting.
- Review business process documents, functional specifications, solution design documents and test scenarios.
- Support data reconciliation, validation of forecast and planning outputs, and issue resolution during testing.
- Support SIT, UAT, defect triage, cutover, go-live and hypercare activities.
- Capture, assess, and follow up on deviations, clarification items arising from workshops.
- Work with business, PMO, integration, technical and reporting teams to ensure the solution is aligned with global template design and deployment timelines.
Required Experience
- Strong experience in SAP Enterprise Performance Management solutions.
· Hands-on experience in SAP BPC is required. Additional knowledge in the following areas would be an advantage:
o SAP PaPM
o SAP BW / BW/4HANA
o SAP Analytics Cloud
- Good understanding of integrated financial planning and forecasting processes.
- Experience with planning model design, including dimensions, hierarchies, input templates, business rules, calculations and reporting.
- Experience supporting finance processes such as:
o Budgeting
o Forecasting
o Management reporting
o Consolidation preparation
o Profitability analysis
o Cost allocation
o CAPEX planning
o Balance sheet and cash flow planning
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA finance data, master data, actuals, budget and forecast information.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional design and solution requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in large-scale SAP transformation or global template rollout projects.
- Experience in integrated planning or xP&A solution design.
- Knowledge of SAP Analysis for Office input forms and planning templates.
- Experience with forecast panels, manual adjustment inputs and role-based access.
- Experience with business-facing workshops, requirement clarification and solution playback.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, beverage or consumer goods industries will be an advantage.
