SAP MDG Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant to join a large-scale enterprise transformation programme within the retail sector. The consultant will drive master data governance, solution design, configuration, data quality, and integration across core retail business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions aligned with retail industry best practices.
• Define and manage workflows, approval hierarchies, data validation rules, and governance policies across critical master data domains.
• Oversee master data creation, modification, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation across the entire SAP ecosystem.
• Coordinate seamless data integration between SAP MDG and related SAP (MM, SD, FI) and non-SAP enterprise systems.
• Collaborate closely with business leads and technical teams to define governance standards and data requirements.
• Participate actively in functional specification development, UAT, data migration, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support.

Mandatory Requirements

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing SAP Master Data Governance (SAP MDG).
• Proven experience delivering SAP projects within a Retail environment.
• In-depth knowledge of standard master data domains and integration points with SAP modules (MM, SD, Finance, Retail).
• End-to-end involvement in SAP implementations, digital transformations, or multi-site rollouts.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Exposure to specific retail data domains: Article/Material Master, Business Partner (Vendor/Customer), Site/Location Master.
• Experience in multi-country/multi-site enterprise rollouts or working with major global System Integrators (SIs).
