SAP FICO Lead (Brownfield Implementation Retail Industry)

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Lead to join a brownfield S/4HANA implementation project in the retail industry. The consultant will play a key role in managing finance and controlling processes, ensuring seamless migration, integration, and optimization within the existing SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support SAP FICO module activities during the brownfield implementation phase.
- Perform system configuration, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Conduct gap analysis and provide functional solutions aligned with retail industry financial processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into SAP functionalities.
- Ensure smooth transition of legacy systems to S/4HANA with minimal business disruption.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, Retail, and CO teams) to ensure seamless integration.
- Prepare detailed functional documentation, test scripts, and end-user training materials.
- Provide post-go-live stabilization and hypercare support.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling) implementation and support.
- Minimum one S/4HANA brownfield migration or conversion project experience.
- Proven experience in retail industry finance processes (e.g., store-level accounting, POS integration, inventory valuation).
- Strong knowledge in GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Product Costing.
- Hands-on experience with SAP FIORI Apps and Central Finance (CFIN) is an advantage.
- Familiar with integration points between FICO and MM/SD modules.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior work experience in Singapore or regional ASEAN projects is preferred.
