Job Description

About the Company - When you join GAR, you join something bigger. Big in scale, big in opportunities to grow, and big in impact. With over 100,000 employees across 14 countries, spanning Asia, Europe, North, and South America, Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is one of the largest agribusinesses in the world. We manage over half a million hectares of palm oil plantations, including smallholder farms, across Indonesia. But our size is only part of the story. Since 1997, we've put sustainability at the centre of how we grow – working hand-in-hand with farmers, communities, and partners to deliver food, fuel, and a better future.

We're a seed-to-shelf business rooted in palm oil, now expanding across other essential crops like sugar, soybean, sunflower, and coconut. Our people are our edge. We invest in them through global opportunities, cross-border exposure, and continuous learning, because growing a better business starts with growing our people. Here, your career feeds something meaningful – for the planet, for people and for generations to come.

About the Role - We are looking for a highly skilled SAP Functional Analyst/Business Analyst to act as the bridge between our business stakeholders and technical teams. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and implementing SAP solutions – specifically in Sales & Distribution (SD) or Agriculture Contract Management (ACM) - to support our global operations. You will work closely with key users in both Singapore and Indonesia to ensure our SAP landscape effectively supports upstream plantations, downstream processing, and supply chain logistics. This role requires a willingness to travel regionally (primarily to Indonesia, China and other GAR operational sites) as needed to engage directly with stakeholders, conduct on-site workshops, support system rollouts, and ensure successful project execution across our diverse geographic footprint. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multinational environment at the intersection of traditional industry and cutting-edge technology and be involved in SAP transformation initiatives at one of the world's leading agribusinesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Process Analysis: Analyse business processes across the Finance, Supply Chain, and plantations value chain, with a focus on SAP SD, or ACM modules.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with key users to understand, analyze, and document business processes and requirements. Serve as the bridge to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • SAP Implementation & Configuration: Participate in the full project lifecycle, including system evaluation, gap analysis, solution design, configuration (where applicable), testing, and post-go-live support.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Manage all communications between users, the project team, and IT vendors/consultants regarding system functionalities and needs. Socialize solutions and decisions to users effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Consistently monitor systems and review business processes with the view to improve efficiency, productivity, and enhance controls.
  • Governance & Compliance: Work with the Policy and Monitoring team to ensure appropriate controls and approved business processes are in place, ensuring consistency across different locations and countries.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology
  • Min 5 to 8 years of experience as SAP Functional Consultant or Business Analyst
  • Deep expertise in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)
  • Preferably with experience in SAP ACM (Agriculture Contact Management) or similar commodity management solutions, given GAR's agribusiness focus.
  • At least 2 – 3 years end to end SAP project cycles implementation experience including design, configuration, testing, data migration and go-live support.
  • Proven consulting experience working in a top-tier management or technology consulting firm is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese is mandatory. The ability to speak Bahasa Indonesia is a significant plus, as you will collaborate closely with stakeholders and teams in our Indonesian operations.
  • Travel:Willingness and ability to travel regionally (up to 30-40% of the time) to Indonesia, China, or other GAR operational sites for project workshops, system rollouts, user training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Confident in communicating and presenting at the business level.
  • Able to work in tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
