SAP FICO Consultant

Job Description

. The SAP FICO Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) solutions with a strong focus on Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC).

. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with Singapore tax regulations, and seamless integration between SAP and external statutory systems (e.g., IRAS, Peppol).

Key Responsibilities

1. Functional Delivery Lead configuration and support of SAP FICO modules - General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).

. Implement and support SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) solutions for Singapore and other regional entities.

. Configure and manage E-Invoicing (Peppol) and GST return reporting through SAP DRC.

. Support setup of Singapore Localization requirements, including: Withholding Tax (WHT) GST configuration and e-Submission Statutory Financial Reporting Coordinate integration between SAP and external compliance platforms (e.g., IRAS, Peppol Network).

. Execute testing cycles (Unit Testing, SIT, UAT) and provide post-go-live support.

2. Business Partnering Collaborate with Finance, Tax, and Compliance teams to capture and refine business requirements.

. Translate business and statutory requirements into system design and configuration. Provide expert guidance on financial processes, reporting, and best practices within SAP.

. Work closely with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, PS) to ensure seamless end-to-end process integration.

3. Governance & Documentation Prepare and maintain Functional Specification Documents, configuration guides, test scripts, and training materials.

. Ensure compliance with SAP documentation and audit standards.

. Support statutory and internal audits with clear and traceable documentation.

4. Continuous Improvement Stay current with SAP localization updates and regulatory changes (e.g., IRAS and Peppol mandates).

. Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance automation. Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for internal support and finance teams.

Required Skills & Experience

. Core SAP Experience Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration and support experience.

. Proven expertise in SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) or eDocument Cockpit.

. At least one full-cycle implementation or rollout involving Singapore Localization. Strong understanding of GST, WHT, Financial Statement Versioning, and Local Reporting Formats. Familiarity with AIF, IDoc processing, and integration with tax/government platforms.

. Working knowledge of S/4HANA Finance (preferred).

. Functional Knowledge Deep understanding of financial and controlling processes - AP, AR, GL, AA, CO-PA, and month-end closing.

. Strong grasp of statutory reporting and tax compliance frameworks within Singapore.

. Experience supporting regional rollouts or multi-country implementations across APAC is a plus.
