SAP Security Specialist (ETD & Focused Run)

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Security Specialist to join our Cybersecurity team. You will be the primary expert responsible for the end-to-end management of SAP Enterprise Threat Detection (ETD) and SAP Focused Run (FRUN). Your mission is to safeguard our SAP landscape through proactive monitoring, advanced pattern development, and rigorous baseline security management.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Enterprise Threat Detection (ETD)

• Threat Hunting & Pattern Management: Design, create, and release custom attack patterns to identify sophisticated threats.

• Incident Response: Perform continuous alert monitoring, lead deep-dive investigations, and manage the full lifecycle of alert closure.

• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the planning and execution of SAP ETD system upgrades to ensure platform stability and access to the latest security features.

Security Baseline & Compliance (Focused Run & SolMan)

• FRUN Implementation: Drive the rollout of Focused Run across the landscape, specifically focusing on Configuration Validation (CVA).

• Policy Governance: Define, update, and implement security policies validate configuration items across managed systems to ensure alignment with corporate standards.

• Automated Monitoring: Utilize Simple Diagnostic Agents (SDA) and the CCDB to maintain landscape visibility.

• Continuous Auditing: Generate and remediate SAP Security Optimization (SOS) reports via SAP Solution Manager.

Vulnerability & Patch Management

• Security Note Coordination: Act as the lead coordinator between internal stakeholders and 3rd-party vendors to drive the implementation of critical SAP Security Notes.

• Automation: Leverage Guided Procedures to automate security checks and assess the real-time effectiveness of implemented security measures.

Technical Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP security configuration and analysis.

• SAP Focused Run Expertise: . Deep understanding of the Configuration Validation (CVA) module.

  • Functional knowledge of SDA and CCDB architecture.

  • Proficiency in XML for customizing and managing Focused Run security policies.

• Threat Detection: Proven track record in pattern creation and proactive security alerting within SAP ETD.

• Solution Manager: Proficiency in SOS report generation and fixing.

• Security Automation: Experience integrating security checks with Guided Procedures for proactive management.

• Communication: Strong ability to coordinate complex security patching with external service providers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant SAP Security Certifications.

• Experience in a large-scale, global SAP landscape.

• Background in identifying and remediating advanced persistent threats (APTs) within SAP environments.
