SAP Basis Administrator

Job Description:

a. Education Qualification

i. At least a Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, IT or equivalent.

b. Competencies

i. Strong technical skills in SAP BASIS, BusinessObjects (BO) and Data Services (DS).

ii. Good knowledge of Web Servers (Tomcat).

iii. Good knowledge of OS administration (Windows Server and RHEL).

iv. Good knowledge of virtualisation platforms (e.g. Hyper-V).

v. Good knowledge of Microsoft applications and management tools (Active Directory, SCCM, SCVMM).

vi. Good troubleshooting skills to analyse and resolve issues.

vii. Good knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.

viii. Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations, and producing high quality deliverables (documentation, presentations, research).

ix. Proven track record of customer management and possesses excellent communication and soft skills.

x. Resourceful, independent, responsive and pro-active.

xi. Good planning and co-ordination skills.

xii. Good team player, responsible and conscientious.

c. Working Experience

i. At least two (2) years of working experience in SAP BASIS administration.

ii. At least two (2) years of working experience in both SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and SAP Data Services 4.x or later.

iii. At least two (2) years of experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP platforms (ERP, NetWeaver, Portal, BODS, Tomcat webserver, etc).

iv. At least two (2) years of experience in analysis of system performance, system health checks & tuning improvements.
