A Salesforce Project Manager leads the planning and delivery of Salesforce implementation, enhancement, and optimisation projects across platforms such as Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud. This role is responsible for defining project scope, managing timelines and budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring solutions are delivered in line with business requirements and platform best practices. The role also supports stakeholder communication, delivery governance, risk management, and quality outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and delivery schedules for Salesforce initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to define scope, priorities, and success criteria.
- Lead Agile delivery ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives where applicable.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and resource requirements, and drive timely resolution or escalation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, testers, administrators, and external partners to support successful delivery.
- Monitor project progress, budget, and quality metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Support user acceptance testing, deployment planning, and post-go-live stabilisation activities.
- Promote Salesforce platform best practices, governance standards, and continuous improvement across project delivery.
Skills And Qualifications
- Experience: Demonstrated experience managing enterprise technology or CRM implementation projects, including hands-on delivery oversight for Salesforce initiatives.
- Salesforce knowledge: Good understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities like Service Cloud & Marketing Cloud
- Project delivery: Working knowledge of project management approaches such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or Waterfall, depending on delivery needs.
- Stakeholder management: Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project sponsors.
- Tools: Experience using delivery and project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft Project.
- Good understanding of public sector domain
