The Prime Brokerage team at Maybank Securities is responsible for providing customized and comprehensive solutions to our institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices. Our services include trade execution, clearing, financing, and custody services, which are all designed to help them achieve their financial goals, objectives and investment needs. Our role is to provide clients with access to capital, liquidity and advanced trading tools, all of which are essential for their investment strategies. We help to expand their trading capabilities, leverage positions and diversify their portfolio with a wide range of investment opportunities. Additionally, we provide clients with a competitive edge by helping them access new markets, technology and investment strategies.

This is a front-office-facing internship within the Prime Brokerage Sales & Trading team. You will work directly with Equity and Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (FICC) trading desks, sales teams, and senior management, gaining hands-on exposure to client flows, revenue drivers, and institutional trading strategies in one of the most dynamic areas of investment banking.

Job Description:

• Prepare daily and monthly BAU reports for desk's trading activity
• Compile call notes for all desk-related meetings and disseminate for follow up
• Collaborate with Sales and Trading teams to gain a strong understanding of desk operations, business models, and client strategies across asset classes.
• Participate in ad-hoc analytical projects and reporting requests to support desk efficiency and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Full-time commitment for 6 months (credit-bearing internships may be considered).
• Demonstrated interest in financial markets, with awareness of macroeconomic and trading developments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Bloomberg and basic programming (Python, VBA) is an advantage.
