Summary

The people here at Apple don't just create products - they create the kind of wonder that's revolutionized entire industries. It's the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do, from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts. Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. We work in an atmosphere where individuals take ownership and have significant impact on the final product. We are a dynamic team within Apple's Worldwide Sales organization, Data Solutions & Initiatives-focused on driving innovation through product design, engineering, process transformation and portfolio management for our internal Apple customers. In our startup-like environment, we move quickly, experiment boldly, and expect our team to take full ownership of what they deliver. We're growing our team's presence in Singapore and are seeking a strategic Engineering Program Manager to define and drive the business vision for critical process transformation and engineering initiatives. In this role, you will shape the business strategy and outcomes for major programs while managing their execution through direct and cross-functional teams.

Description

You will partner with business stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities, define the business case for process transformation and engineering investments, and translate business objectives into executable process and engineering programs. As a business strategist and hands-on program leader, you'll ensure that business and engineering efforts deliver measurable business value and align with organizational goals. Regular international travel is required, as in-person collaboration is critical to understanding local workflows and ensuring practical, scalable process design. Additionally, flexibility to work across different time zones to support, and collaborate with globally distributed stakeholders is essential. This role requires a unique blend of business acumen, strategic thinking, and program execution expertise. You'll serve as the bridge between business strategy, process transformation and engineering execution, personally driving programs that deliver real business impact. While this is a manager-level position, you'll initially focus on direct program leadership with a plan to build a team as the portfolio grows. This is a high-visibility opportunity to lead innovative process, data and technology transformation efforts that power critical decision-making and platform evolution across a complex, globally distributed ecosystem and stakeholder base.

Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy & Vision: Define business vision and strategic objectives for major process transformation and engineering programs. Develop business cases, quantify ROI and define success metrics.
  • Program Management: Lead the end-to-end management of process transformation and engineering programs, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with product roadmaps. Drive program execution from initial planning to launch.
  • Prioritization: Establish prioritization frameworks that strike the right balance between business impact, level of effort and pragmatism while considering change management implications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define project/program scope, milestones, and timelines. Ensure effective communication across teams and ensure all parties are aligned on priorities. Hold your partners accountable to deliverables.
  • Project Scheduling & Resource Allocation: Create and maintain project plans. Ensure that all resources are being used efficiently and that potential bottlenecks are identified and resolved proactively.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project deadlines, scope, or quality. Develop and implement mitigation plans to address these risks, and ensure the program stays on track.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key project metrics and deliverables. Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes to enhance team efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and improve overall program success.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of project status, changes, and issues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Define business requirements and work with Product Managers to translate into actionable technical requirements.
  • Functional Validation: Ensure the feature/s developed by engineering team meet the intended business goals and user needs. This includes confirming that the feature fulfills the customer or user stories as expected. Work with product managers to ensure that the feature behaves in a way that is intuitive for end users and solves the problem it was designed to address.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Ensure the delivery of high-quality products/features by working with engineering and QA teams to establish testing protocols and quality standards
  • Change Management Strategy: Develop and execute a robust change management plan to prepare the organization for transformation, addressing potential resistance and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Enable the Business: Ensure that once the project is complete, the business is fully equipped and enabled to operate in the new way, with clear documentation, training, and support models in place.
  • Post-Launch Monitoring and Feedback: Ensure post-launch monitoring and performance evaluations are in place to track the success of the project after it's deployed. Work with engineering and product teams to address any post-launch issues and gather feedback for future iterations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
