Job Purpose
To execute in-store merchandising, ensure optimal product availability and visibility, and support sales performance across assigned Modern Trade supermarket accounts. The role focuses on shelf execution, promotion compliance, stock management, and close coordination with sales and store teams to drive sell-through.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Execution & Merchandising
Responsible for daily merchandising activities in assigned supermarket outlets, ensuring products are well-displayed.
Maintain shelf cleanliness, correct pricing, and proper tagging at all times. Ensure new product launches and promotional displays areset up accurately and on time.
Stock Availability & Inventory Control
Monitor on-shelf availability and backroom stock to minimise out-of-stocks and overstock situations. Identify slow-moving or ageing stocks and feedback to the sales team for action. Coordinate replenishment with store staff where required.
Promotion & Campaign Compliance
Ensure all agreed promotions, price-offs, and display mechanics are properly executed during campaign periods. Check POSM deployment (posters, wobblers, shelf talkers) and report any missing or damaged materials. Take photo evidence and submit timely reports.
Relationship Management (Store Level)
Build and maintain good working relationships with supermarket department managers, supervisors, and store staff. Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day store issues and escalate key matters to the sales team when necessary.
Sales Support & Market Intelligence
Support sales initiatives by providing ground feedback on competitor activity, pricing, shelf space, and consumer behaviour. Collect market intelligence and share insights to help improve future planning and execution
