Job Description

Job Purpose

To drive the growth and development of the general insurance business by leveraging Business Banking channels. This role focuses on delivering tailored protection solutions for SME clients through strategic partnerships, marketing initiatives, and effective campaign execution.

The Job

  • Relationship Management
  • Develop and execute business plans in collaboration with Business Banking teams.
  • Identify and explore cross-functional opportunities across business units and customer touchpoints.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at various levels within the Bank.
  • Manage and optimize partnerships with business units to secure long-term collaboration and business growth.
  • Strategic Marketing
  • Co-develop marketing strategies and campaigns with the Bank to achieve key performance indicators.
  • Plan and implement product sequencing strategies aligned with the Bank's customer lifecycle
  • Launch acquisition (cross-sell) and customer management (up-sell) campaigns in a timely and structured manner.
  • Campaign Management
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Drive acquisition, customer retention, and conservation activities within budgetary controls.
  • Secure necessary approvals and clearances for campaign materials and initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Underwriting
  • Underwrite general insurance commercial line products within authorized limits.
  • Provide quotations for new business and arrange facultative support when required.
  • Ensure portfolio profitability and maintain desired loss ratios.
  • Participate in underwriting-related projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Performance Reporting
  • Prepare and submit timely reports for all projects and campaign-related activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
  • Minimum Degree holder preferable with professional insurance qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A good team player with the ability to multitask and work independently
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
