SALES MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Analyze sales trends and customer behavior to optimize product placement and promotions.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching.
• Motivate staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales objectives.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and repeat buyers.
• Resolve escalated customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with inventory and purchasing teams to ensure top-selling items are always in stock.
• Suggest product promotions based on stock levels and market demand
• Identify slow-moving products and suggest corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, average transaction value, and customer retention.
• Develop and implement inventory management policies to minimize wastage and stock shortages.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate supply to meet business demands.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure timely restocking of materials.
• Establish relationships with multiple suppliers to mitigate risks.
• Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of materials.
• Implement best practices for warehouse organization and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with logistics teams for timely delivery and distribution of inventory.
• Analyze past sales trends and construction project demands to forecast inventory needs.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and procurement efficiency.
• Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory and implement strategies to optimize stock.
• Ensure all inventory management processes comply with industry regulations and company policies.
• Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, stock theft, and damage.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance checks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the wholesale trade or construction materials industry.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques, procurement, and warehouse management.
• Experience using inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
• Leadership skills to oversee warehouse staff and logistics teams
• Specializing in Engineering - Building Construction/Civil/Structural or equivalent would be an advantage
• 2A/2B/Class 3 compulsory. Preferably poses own transport. (Required to travel from time to time)
• Willing to do rotating shift work and able to work longer hours. Must work on weekends/PH. (Strictly off on week days)
• Field work required. Need to do delivery if driver is off / medical leave or urgencyof goods when required
• Will be placed on standby duties, to meet customers requirements, overtime will be required when the need arise.
• Knowledge in Hydraulic machines would be an advantage.

• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills across cultures and nationalities
• Good trouble shooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
