Job Description
We welcome applications from candidates with relevant sales experience who demonstrate the right attitude, strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality. Responsible for driving room revenue and business opportunities, with a strong focus on the Leisure and Travel Trade segments. This role is ideal for a motivated hospitality sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and achieving hotel targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with leisure clients, travel agencies, tour operators and travel trade partners.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve individual and hotel revenue targets.
- Conduct sales calls, client visits, presentations and site inspections.
- Manage and grow the hotel's leisure and travel trade accounts.
- Establish partnerships with local and international travel agencies, tour operators and relevant industry partners.
- Negotiate rates, contracts and business agreements in line with the hotel's commercial strategy.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and business opportunities.
- Participate in trade shows, sales missions, networking events and promotional activities.
- Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office and other departments to maximise business opportunities and ensure excellent guest experiences.
- Prepare regular sales activity reports, forecasts and updates for management.
- Handle client enquiries and follow up on leads in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the Sales & Marketing team in achieving overall hotel business objectives.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in hotel sales, hospitality, travel trade or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates with different levels of relevant experience may be considered based on suitability for the position.
- Strong network and knowledge of the leisure and travel trade market will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong sales and business development mindset with a proven ability to build client relationships.
- Self-motivated, proactive and target-driven.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with different departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant sales systems.
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
