Retail and wholesale Grocerries
Drives an organization's revenue by leading, mentoring, and scaling a sales team
They are responsible for setting quotas, developing go-to-market strategies, analyzing sales metrics, and ensuring the team has the training and resources needed to close deals.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage sales representatives. Conduct one-on-one coaching and performance reviews.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Performance Analysis: Track sales pipelines, analyze conversion metrics, and adjust tactics based on market data.
- Account Management: Oversee key client relationships, negotiate high-value contracts, and resolve any escalated customer complaints.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with marketing for campaigns, and relay market/product feedback to senior leadership.
Key Requirements
- Proven Track Record: Typically 5 years sales experience with a proven history of meeting quotas.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, motivate, and empower team members.
- Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal and commercial negotiation skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong capability in analyzing CRM data and market trends to capitalize on opportunities.
- Handle complex customer enquiries.
- Lead follow-up with clients to close sales.
- Manage sales channels and database of sales leads.
- Participate in relevant industry events for networking.
- Prepare and present sales proposals to clients.
- Propose recommendations to form and allocate sales teams.
- Propose sales channels and network expansion plans.
- Relay customer feedback and market sentiments to internal stakeholders to enhance products and services.
- Review recommendations of products and services to match clients needs.
- Support official responses to client dissatisfaction of products and services delivery.
- Proven work experience in Sales
Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field - At least 5 years of experience in business development and operations marketing, or equivalent qualification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Negotiation and Conflict management
- Relevant work experience is preferred
- Able/ willing to work on Weekends/ Public holidays is an advantage.
