Job Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow the sales performance of our grocery store. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the sales team, implementing sales strategies, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and motivate sales staff to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Monitor daily sales performance and report key metrics to the Store Manager.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any sales-related customer concerns promptly.
- Plan and implement in-store promotions, product placements, and pricing strategies to boost sales.
- Collaborate with Inventory Manager to ensure popular items are always in stock.
- Oversee the visual merchandising and cleanliness of the sales floor.
- Maintain knowledge of grocery trends and customer preferences to make sales recommendations.
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales team members.
- Handle customer feedback and improve the overall shopping experience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a sales supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a grocery or retail setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and POS systems.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
