SALESMANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Sales Managers play a pivotal role in any business where selling and marketing is critical to success. Being a Sales Manager is all about achieving goals, leading a sales team and managing people and their time. You are required to have a comprehensive understanding of their company's products and/or services, and must be able to perform well in highly pressurized environments. You are to maximize the potential of the sales team, establish sales plans, and justify these plans to higher management. Your aim is to expand the customer base of the company and its strong presence in the market.

You are responsible for designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company's customer base and ensure its strong presence. Apart from increasing revenue, you are responsible for achieving sales objectives, hiring and developing staff, as well as managing sales districts.

KEY SALESRESPONSIBILITIES

1. Enhancing existing revenue streams and developing new ones.

2. Recruiting, hiring and developing sales representatives.

3. Analyzing sales data and setting sales targets for sales teams and representatives.

4. Developing and writing up strategic plans including distribution channels.

5. Leading, developing. motivating and fostering a sales culture within teams.

6. Putting together sales pitches and turning leads into sales.

7. Continually assess the sales processes to identify improvements and efficiencies.

8. Building and maintaining good client relationship.

9. Keeping an eye on competitors to understand your competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to others in the market.

10. Completing all sales activity documentations.

11. Managing orders and ensuring goods or services promised to customers are processed efficiently.

12. Organizing promotions at trade shows where required.

13. Addressing and managing customers and employees issues and feedbacks.

14. Communicating with customers via email, phone or in person.

15. Reviewing staff performance and rewarding high performing sales staff and mentoring poor performing ones.

16. Prepare reports, budgets and forecasts.

17. Organize sales training sessions for employees.

18. Negotiate with vendors, customers and retail outlets.

19. Keeping up to date with market developments and conduct market research.

20. Attend relevant sales meetings, functions, conferences, shows or exhibitions.

21. Organizing promotions at trade shows where required.

22. Measure identified KPIs and present the achievements.

ADHOC DUTIES

1. To carry out duties and tasks as assigned by Higher Management.

2. Prepare and promulgate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and carry out review bi-annually.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLSREQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum Degree in related field.

2. Successful previous experience of 3 to 5 years as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

3. Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences.

4. Demonstrated excellent ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

5. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.

6. Strong business sense and industry expertise.

7. Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.

8. Having excellent accounting and numeric ability.

9. Good Account management.

10. Excellent Customer Service.

11. Effective Time management and Multi-Tasking.

12. Initiative and results oriented.

13. Strong presentation skills.

14. Good persuasive and interpersonal skills.

15. Have a can do attitude towards problems and results oriented.

16. Proven track record of reaching targets.
