Develop and implement a sales plan for the India region, targeting new-build and retrofit opportunities for marine navigation and communication systems.
Build a strong sales pipeline aligned with regional growth objectives.
Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the merchant, offshore, and naval segments.
Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and margin targets through strategic account management and business development activities.
Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules in collaboration with the commercial and technical teams.
Serve as the primary contact for Indian clients, ensuring effective communication, responsiveness, and post-sale engagement.
Maintain long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure repeat business and high client satisfaction.
Collaborate with regional offices, technical departments, and management to align sales strategies and share market intelligence.
Provide regular reports on sales forecasts, pipeline development, and market feedback.
Manage quotations, commercial negotiations, and contract documentation in line with company standards.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical practices, and export control requirements.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the marine industry (equipment, lubricants, coatings, spare parts, or marine services).
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field.
Proven success in achieving sales targets and developing regional markets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Willingness to travel frequently across India and occasionally to other regions.
