Job Summary
You will lead the Sales and Marketing team for HORIBA Water Quality Instruments across Asia and ANZ (excluding Japan), driving market penetration and business growth through strategic sales initiatives, distribution network management, and technical support.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales and marketing efforts for HORIBA Water Quality Instruments (LAQUA water products, U-50 series, OCMA, and Online Process Water Instruments) across Asia and ANZ markets
- Manage and develop the distribution network by organizing seminars, training sessions, customer visits, exhibitions, and aftersales activities to strengthen partner engagement and sales performance
- Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans to achieve targeted market penetration and revenue growth
- Lead marketing initiatives including brochure design and market-specific promotional programs to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement
- Monitor competitor activities and analyze market trends to inform strategic decision-making and maintain competitive advantage
- Oversee supply chain management and optimize inventory turnover in alignment with business objectives
- Manage technical support services to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction
- Take full P&L responsibility for the business unit, ensuring strong return on investment and financial performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales and marketing strategies with overall business goals
- Travel up to 40% annually to support market development and customer engagement activities
Required competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Science, preferably with a background in chemistry or environmental science
- Proven experience managing distribution networks for water analysis instruments or general laboratory products, with 5 to 10 years in relevant roles
- Technical competence in scientific instruments, environmental analysis, or industrial products to effectively support sales and technical teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through successful relationship management and persuasive engagement with customers and partners
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 40% annually) to support business growth
