Our client is a well-established Japanese food products distributor within the FMCG sector, recognized for its strong regional presence and consistent business growth. Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking a Sales Manager to support business development and strengthen their commercial operations. They are located in the (North) - easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute sales strategies aligned with defined customer segments and market positioning
- Evaluate sales channels, track market movements, and assess competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks
- Review sales performance data and recommend corrective actions to improve results
- Generate new business opportunities through market outreach and lead development initiatives
- Implement structured approaches to expand customer base and improve market penetration
- Develop and refine customer acquisition and retention frameworks
- Manage end-to-end sales cycle, including needs assessment, proposal preparation, and deal closure
- Address client requirements and resolve commercial-related matters effectively
- Maintain follow-ups with key accounts to ensure successful transactions and timely collections
- Establish and maintain structured account management practices
- Analyse customer feedback and market insights to support product and service enhancements
- Monitor account performance to strengthen customer retention and repeat business
- Handle customer-related issues with appropriate resolution measures
- Oversee departmental budgeting and resource allocation
- Supervise team performance, including training and evaluation processes
- Support hiring activities and manpower planning
- Review operational workflows and implement process improvements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in any discipline
- At least 8 years of relevant experience within the FMCG industry
- Experience in developing and implementing structured sales strategies
- Experience to evaluate market conditions, competitor landscape, and sales channels
- Experience in analysing sales data, performance indicators, and customer insights
- Familiarity with CRM systems for sales tracking and account management
