Job Description

Sales & Customer Management

  • Oversee daily sales operations to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Build strong customer relationships through excellent service and personalized recommendations.
  • Monitor customer preferences and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to increase overall basket size.

Team Supervision

  • Lead, train, and motivate sales staff to deliver high performance.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor individual and team productivity.
  • Conduct regular briefings and product knowledge sessions.
  • Ensure proper grooming, discipline, and punctuality of staff.

Stock & Inventory Handling

  • Manage inventory levels ensure timely restocking and minimal wastage.
  • Supervise and assist in loading and unloading goods.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper labeling, pricing, and shelf arrangement of products.

Driving & Logistics

  • Drive the company vehicle for deliveries, pickups, or store transfers as needed.
  • Ensure goods are safely loaded, secured, and delivered on time.
  • Maintain vehicle in clean, roadworthy condition and report any mechanical issues.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures during transport.

Shopkeeping Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the shop floor and storage areas.
  • Open and close the store as per schedule, ensuring all security procedures are followed.
  • Operate the POS system process sales, returns, and daily cash reconciliation.
  • Assist with in-store merchandising, promotions, and display setup.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly sales and stock reports for management review.
  • Maintain delivery logs, inventory sheets, and expense records accurately.
  • Keep records of damaged/returned items and suggest preventive measures.

Key Skills Required

  • Sales and negotiation skills
  • Team leadership and coordination
  • Driving (valid license and clean record)
  • Physical ability to load/unload goods
  • Basic knowledge of inventory systems/POS
  • Customer service orientation
  • Honesty, punctuality, and attention to detail
