Overview
The Sales Manager - Gold Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth within the gold and precious metals product category. This role oversees sales strategy, relationship management, market expansion, and team performance to ensure strong business results in the gold trading, investment, or retail jewelry segments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies for gold and precious metal products.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and pricing movements to optimize positioning.
- Set sales targets and implement plans to achieve or exceed revenue goals.
- Identify new business opportunities in wholesale, retail, B2B, and investment channels.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-value clients, distributors, jewelers, and institutional buyers.
- Provide expert advice on gold products, pricing, investment value, and market fluctuations.
- Manage key accounts and negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply terms.
3. Product & Market Expertise
- Stay up to date with gold market dynamics, commodity pricing, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with product and procurement teams to ensure the right product availability and pricing strategies.
- Provide internal training on gold products and sales techniques.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team focused on gold products.
- Conduct performance reviews, skills development, and coaching.
- Ensure the team follows compliance, ethical standards, and operational processes.
5. Reporting & Forecasting
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance dashboards.
- Track KPIs such as sales volume, margin performance, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- 5-10 years of sales experience, preferably in gold, jewelry, precious metals, luxury goods, or commodities.
- Strong understanding of gold pricing mechanisms, market trends, and supply chain.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationshipbuilding skills.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, pricesensitive environment.
