You will be working as a Sales Manager in a Japanese freight forwarding company specializing in ocean and air logistics solutions, particularly in Japan-Asia trade lanes. The company provides services such as LCL consolidation, freight forwarding, and cross-border logistics support, serving mainly Japanese and multinational clients across Southeast Asia.
This position is based at their office located in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business and manage existing customer accounts to grow trade volume.
- Build strong relationships with clients, including senior-level stakeholders.
- Conduct client visits, prepare quotations, and follow up on sales opportunities.
- Handle sales enquiries and coordinate internally to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain customer records, tariffs, and quotations Prepare regular sales reports, including pipeline and performance updates.
- Lead the sales team and collaborate with operations and finance teams on billing and payment follow-up.
Requirements:
- Possess Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / other discipline.
- Minimum 5 year(s) of sales experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics industry, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Good sales track record.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, presentation skills.
- Good team player, with an enthusiastic & proactive attitude.
