Sales Manager - Duties and Responsibilities
A Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing sales teams, and ensuring excellent customer engagement. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, improving customer experience, and maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
. Lead and manage the sales team including Sales Executives, Representatives, and Store Staff to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
. Train, coach, and motivate team members on sales techniques, customer handling, upselling, and product knowledge.
. Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goals, seasonal demand, and promotional campaigns.
. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, and take corrective actions to improve results.
. Drive customer engagement and retention, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
. Plan and execute promotions, events, and campaigns to increase footfall and boost revenue.
. Identify new business opportunities including partnerships, corporate sales, and community outreach initiatives.
. Maintain optimal inventory levels by coordinating with procurement and suppliers to meet sales demand.
. Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast demand and improve decision-making.
. Ensure effective merchandising and product display to enhance the customer buying experience.
. Control and manage operational costs to ensure profitability targets are met.
. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Inventory, and Operations for smooth business execution.
. Oversee payroll-related sales incentives and commissions to align team performance with business objectives.
. Ensure store presentation, cleanliness, and brand standards are maintained at all times.
. Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing sales staff to build a strong and capable team.
. Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally to maintain brand reputation.
. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for senior management.
