About The Role:
- We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead the growth of Baxter's Patient Support Systems (PSS) business in Singapore.
- This role is responsible for the overall commercial performance of the PSS portfolio through strategic business planning, distributor management, and market development. The successful candidate will drive growth, expand market share, build strong customer relationships, and ensure achievement of sales and profitability objectives.
- In addition to direct ownership of the PSS business, the Sales Manager will provide leadership and coaching to a Key Account Manager responsible for the Global Surgical Solutions (GSS) and Front Line Care (FLC) portfolios, ensuring alignment to commercial priorities and business objectives.
- Working closely with distributor partners, healthcare institutions, clinicians, equipment planners, procurement stakeholders, and internal teams, this role will play a critical part in strengthening Baxter's presence across Singapore's healthcare market.
Patient Support Systems (PSS)
The PSS portfolio focuses on improving patient safety, mobility, clinical outcomes, and caregiver efficiency across acute and long-term care settings.

- Patient Handling and Mobility Solutions
- Stretchers and Transport Solutions
Global Surgical Solutions (GSS)
The GSS portfolio supports healthcare providers in creating safer and more efficient surgical environments.

The FLC portfolio provides diagnostic and physical assessment solutions that support frontline clinicians in delivering patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and execute annual business plans and sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities and drive expansion within existing and new customer segments.
- Lead pricing, promotional, and commercial initiatives to maximize business performance.
- Monitor market dynamics and adjust strategies to address risks and capitalize on opportunities.
2. Distributor Management
- Lead and develop strategic partnerships with distributors to deliver business objectives and commercial targets.
- Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and regular business reviews with distributors.
- Provide commercial guidance, product training, and sales support to strengthen distributor capabilities.
- Ensure effective execution of sales, marketing, and tender activities through channel partners.
3. Key Account & Tender Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key hospital accounts, healthcare stakeholders, and decision makers.
- Support hospital project planning and equipment specification activities.
- Lead and coordinate tender opportunities, quotations, and commercial proposals in collaboration with distributors and cross-functional teams.
- Drive customer engagement and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
4. Product & Clinical Support
- Provide product, clinical, and technical expertise to distributors, healthcare professionals, and customers.
- Deliver product demonstrations, in-service training, and educational programs to support product adoption and utilization.
- Communicate product value propositions, clinical benefits, and economic outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
- Support new product launches and portfolio expansion initiatives.
5. Business Planning & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and business plans to support operational and financial objectives.
- Monitor sales performance and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional teams to drive business success.
- Gather and share market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive information to support strategic decision-making.

Direct Report:
- Key Account Manager (GSS & FLC)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 8-10 years of commercial experience in medical devices, healthcare, or related industries.
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth and achieving commercial objectives.
- Strong experience in distributor management within Singapore healthcare market.
- Experience in hospital capital equipment, operating room solutions, surgical products, or related medical device portfolios is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tenders, key accounts, and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with understanding of sales planning, forecasting, pricing, and profitability management.
- Strong commercial and strategic business acumen.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
- Excellent distributor and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
