Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a driven, self-starter and results-oriented Sales Executive with experience in the wholesale food distribution industry to grow and manage customer accounts across the food service, retail, and trading sectors. The role focuses on business development, account management, and revenue growth, working closely with Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and internal support teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate should have some understanding of the F&B industry and work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of B2B customers (restaurants, retailers, caterers, food manufacturers)
  • Identify and acquire new customers within the food service market
  • Drive sales growth through active prospecting, cold calling, and relationship building
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers
  • Conduct regular customer visits and follow-ups

Account Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers
  • Handle pricing negotiations, promotions, and contract renewals
  • Resolve customer issues related to deliveries, product quality, or billing
  • Handle customer feedback, issues, and service recovery

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with customer service, warehouse, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
  • Monitor stock availability and advise customers on alternatives
  • Ensure accurate order processing, timely order fulfilment and payment

Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor pricing, and customer needs
  • Identify opportunities for new products, upselling and cross selling
  • Support product launches and range expansions
  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs and market demand

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience in wholesale food distribution / FMCG sales in Singapore
  • Network within foodservice, retail, or trading sectors is an advantage
  • Experience managing B2B accounts and business development
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented
  • Negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and operational environment
  • Proficient in basic office applications (Excel, email, CRM/ERP systems)
