Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales Executive or Sales Manager at Fiera Milano Asia Pacific supporting shows including FIND - Design Fair Asia. Reporting to senior sales manager / director, you will help design and drive the overall sales strategy to secure exhibitors, sponsors, and strategic partners. The position focuses on proactively identifying and converting new business opportunities, deepening relationships with existing clients, and leading contract negotiations through to closure. You will work closely with the marketing and event operations teams to align campaigns, ensure seamless delivery of sold commitments, and consistently hit or exceed revenue targets. Additionally, you will keep a close watch on market trends, pricing movements, and competitor activity to refine positioning and maintain the fair's competitive edge. This role has no direct management responsibility but may involve mentoring of early career individuals which may become direct reports and supervision of an extensive sales agent network.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, client relationship management, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with market research, business development, and creating effective sales strategies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders successfully.
  • Detail-oriented with organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and a solid understanding of the design or events industry is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience (min. 3 years) in B28 conference and exhibition or sponsorship sales
  • Strong knowledge of and familiarity with the dynamics throughout the traditional furniture and interior design sectors, architecture, manufacturing brands or distributors is desired
  • A solid understanding of the tradeshow and exhibition industry including managing sales agents
  • Previous responsibility for ambitious sales targets, demonstrating ability to consistently meet and exceed these targets
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies to attract exhibitors.
  • Coordinate with the event team to ensure seamless execution of exhibitions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve client issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ability and proven experience of working with a wide range of cultures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in the design, architecture, or events sector is an asset.

The successful candidate will be responsible for retention and growth of key accounts as well as the generation of revenue from new businesses for the Fiera Milano Asia Pacific Portfolio. This role will have to close high-value deals with large, blue-chip companies at senior management or director level. This role has no direct management responsibility but will involve mentoring of early career individuals which may become direct reports and supervision of an extensive sales agent network.
