Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Executive to join our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) team, focusing on the Medium Segment. This role targets SMEs, mid-sized manufacturing firms, commercial offices, and retail groups.

You will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, advising clients on energy procurement strategies, and closing multi-year electricity supply contracts. The ideal candidate can translate complex energy market insights into clear, cost-saving solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Prospecting

  • Identify and target companies

  • Execute outbound sales activities including cold calling, networking, and leveraging existing contacts

  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline

  • Qualify leads based on contract expiry, credit profile, and energy usage

2. Consultative Selling

  • Analyze client utility bills and load profiles to recommend optimal pricing strategies

  • Conduct energy reviews and introduce value-added services such as Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs)

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals highlighting value proposition and cost savings

3. Contract Management & Closing

  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and duration aligned with company targets

  • Manage full sales cycle from initial engagement to meter transfer and onboarding

  • Ensure compliance with market regulations and internal policies

4. Relationship Management

  • Manage client relationships and maintain high retention rates

  • Proactively handle contract renewals 6-12 months before expiry

  • Act as the main point of contact for billing, market updates, and regulatory queries

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-5 years of B2B sales experience (energy, telecommunications, insurance, or industrial equipment preferred)

  • Analytical Skills: Strong Excel skills able to interpret data and simplify complex pricing models

  • Communication: Excellent presentation and negotiation skills confident engaging stakeholders such as CFOs, Operations Managers, and Business Owners

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields
