Job Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving sales activities and maintaining strong relationships with existing distributors to achieve sales targets in the mechanical components and machinery industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned customer accounts to foster long-term business relationships and maximize sales opportunities
  • Deliver clear and accurate product knowledge to customers and respond promptly to all inquiries to support informed purchasing decisions
  • Consolidate and analyze customer requirements to provide actionable insights and report findings to the Sales Manager
  • Support pre-sales and post-sales activities to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Apply basic technical knowledge to effectively communicate with customers, distributors, and internal teams, facilitating smooth sales processes
  • Prepare and provide precise sales quotations to customers to support timely decision-making
  • Conduct engaging product presentations to prospective customers to drive interest and sales growth
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including headquarters and regional offices, to resolve customer and distributor-related issues efficiently
  • Generate daily reports, project/case/issue progress updates, monthly sales and order reports, and track achievement of sales targets for management review
  • Perform market research to identify key customer business growth opportunities, monitor market trends, and assess competitive landscape
  • Execute other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Sales Manager to support business objectives

Required competencies and certifications

  • Valid driving license with ability to drive for business purposes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to prepare reports and presentations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • NITEC, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or related sales field
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant sales experience in mechanical components or machinery industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills focused on sales and negotiation
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and proactively complete tasks with initiative
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Willingness to learn continuously and adapt to multicultural environments
  • Availability and willingness to travel overseas for short-term business trips
