Job Description

The Sales Engineer - Vertical Markets is responsible for driving sales growth of online water analyzers and monitoring solutions within the semiconductor and potable water industries. This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling, supporting customers from initial application discussions through to project closure and post-sale support.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities within the semiconductor and potable water verticals.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets, booking orders and supporting long-term account growth.
  • Execute vertical-specific sales plans aligned with company strategy.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle including lead qualification, technical clarification, proposal preparation, and order closure.

Vertical Application Focus

Semiconductor Industry

  • Promote online analyzers for ultra-pure water (UPW) and process water applications (e.g. pH, conductivity, resistivity, TOC, silica, dissolved oxygen).
  • Support fabs, IDM customers, OEMs, and EPCs in greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Understand semiconductor manufacturing requirements, contamination control, and yield impact.

Potable Water Industry

  • Support water utilities, municipalities, and treatment plants with online monitoring solutions (e.g. turbidity, pH, chlorine, conductivity, nitrate, TOC).
  • Understand drinking water regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Engage with consulting engineers and public authorities during project specification stages.

Technical & Solution Selling

  • Act as the technical interface for customers, providing application know-how and product recommendations.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and on-site demonstrations.
  • Prepare technically accurate quotations, proposals, and tender documentation.
  • Collaborate with application specialists and service teams to deliver complete solutions.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with:End users (fabs, utilities, plant operators)Consultants and system integratorsEPCs and OEM partners
  • Participate in customer audits, technical meetings, and project reviews.
  • Support channel partners/distributors where applicable.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines and forecasts in CRM.
  • Provide regular sales and activity reports to management.
