The client is a team of IT professionals specializing in advanced fibre optics (GPON) network solutions. They serve sectors including defense, aviation, medical, hospitality, finance, and telecommunications, delivering design, implementation, and consultancy services across the Asia Pacific region.
Job Summary
We seek a motivated Sales Engineer with 1-2 years experience in technical sales or IT infrastructure to provide expert technical support, design networking solutions, conduct product demonstrations, and support customers throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Sales Representatives to identify customer business and technical requirements
- Conduct product presentations, technical demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions to showcase solutions
- Design and recommend networking solutions aligned with customer needs and industry best practices
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, solution architectures, and responses for RFPs, RFIs, and tenders
- Engage with customers to understand networking, security, and infrastructure challenges and provide trusted technical consultation
- Address customer inquiries on product capabilities, deployment, integration, and performance to facilitate informed decisions
- Assist customers with solution planning, deployment recommendations, and implementation strategies to ensure successful adoption
- Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to support customer onboarding and validate solution compatibility
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking technologies, competitive products, and industry trends to inform solution design
- Collect and relay customer feedback and market requirements to product and engineering teams to influence product development
- Support product launches and go-to-market initiatives through technical expertise
- Work closely with sales, product management, professional services, and technical support teams to ensure cohesive delivery
- Provide technical training and enablement to sales representatives to enhance team capabilities
- Maintain accurate opportunity and customer records within CRM systems to support sales processes
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Exposure to Cisco Networking Solutions, Juniper Networks, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Aruba Networks
- Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and cloud networking platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Knowledge of network security solutions
