Job Description

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving business growth across Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines) and Oceania by promoting high-performance cutting tools to industrial customers such as automotive and aerospace manufacturers.
This role requires a strong combination of technical knowledge and sales capability, working closely with local distributors while proactively engaging end-users to expand business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Distributor Management & Sales Development
. Manage and support appointed distributors across assigned regions
. Drive sales performance through joint customer visits and technical support
. Provide product training and sales guidance to distributor teams
. Monitor distributor performance and identify growth opportunities

End-user Development (Key Focus)
. Visit end-users (automotive, aerospace, precision manufacturing companies) together with or independently from distributors
. Identify new applications and business opportunities
. Promote company products through technical presentations and demonstrations
. Develop relationships with key decision-makers (production, engineering, procurement)

Technical Support & Solution Proposal
. Analyze customer machining processes and propose optimal cutting tool solutions
. Conduct trial tests and performance evaluations at customer sites
. Provide troubleshooting support to improve productivity, tool life, and cost efficiency
. Collaborate with HQ (Thailand) for technical support and customized solutions

Sales Coordination
. Coordinate closely with Thailand HQ regarding quotations, pricing, and order processing (PO handled by HQ)
. Support RFQs and ensure timely follow-up with distributors
. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence

Market Development
. Identify market trends and competitor activities in assigned regions
. Participate in exhibitions, seminars, and customer events
. Expand business into new industries and customers

Requirements

・Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sales Engineer in the cutting tools or metal machining industry
・Practical experience in technical proposal-based sales (not purely relationship-driven sales)
・Experience in dealing with industrial customers related to metal processing (e.g., automotive, aerospace, precision manufacturing)
・Ability to analyze machining processes and propose technical solutions
・Possession of a valid driving license is preferred
・Willingness to travel across assigned regions (e.g. Philippines, Malaysia, Oceania / Depends on the situation)
