Responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Engineer to drive business growth and provide technical solutions to customers across the technology and engineering sectors. This role combines technical expertise with sales and account management responsibilities, including developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, conducting product presentations, and recommending solutions that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate is an engineering-trained professional with strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for building long-term customer partnerships. Regional business exposure and occasional travel opportunities are available as part of the role.
Develop and grow new business opportunities within assigned markets and industries
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
Conduct prospecting activities, including cold calling, lead generation, and customer visits
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions
Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales reports
Deliver product presentations and demonstrations
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and application advice to customers
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution
Monitor market trends and identify potential business opportunities
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Photonics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Prior experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or customer-facing engineering roles is preferred
Fresh graduates with a strong interest in sales may be considered
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable with business development and customer acquisition activities
Good technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to travel for customer visits and occasional business trips within the region
